The CVLL Board of Directors has (2) open positions for the upcoming 2023-2024 season. The open positions include Coach Pitch Coach Coordinator and Sponsorship & Fundraising Manager. Coach Pitch Coach Coordinator
The Coach Pitch Coordinator is a position on the board of directors for the Chenango Valley Little League. This person is primarily in charge of the division and must ensure that coaches, players and parents have a fun, safe and meaningful Little League experience. Being a coach is not a requirement for the position. The Coach Pitch Coordinator’s duties in general is to accommodate any and all needs of the division. The Coach Pitch Coordinator should also make sure that volunteer coaches have the resources they need to make the season a successful one for all participants and parents.
Duties of the Coach Pitch Coordinator include:
- Create a Schedule for the season (based on previous years schedule)
- Plan and organize Coach Pitch “Game Days”
- Attend scheduled board meetings
- Organize players and coaches into teams
- Distribute equipment to coaches and uniforms to players
- Ensure coaches are scheduling practices between Game Days
- Understand & implement rules for the division
- Promote the use of the Little League Coach Pitch Program to volunteer coaches
- Report any relevant information to the board
Sponsorship & Fundraising Manager
Sponsorships and donations from local businesses and organizations help provide the necessary funding for the local Little League® program to thrive. This support provides for lower registration fees from families, promotes local businesses, and brings a greater sense of community to your league
- Solicits and secures local sponsorships to support league operations
- Collects and reviews sponsorship and fundraising opportunities
- Organizes and implements approved league fundraising activities
- Coordinates participation in fundraising activities
- Maintains records of monies secured through sponsorship and fundraising initiatives
