Selection to a tournament team is an opportunity for players from Chenango Valley Little League to play on a different team, meet new friends, represent the community, and experience well-run tournaments in our local area. We encourage all players to register for tournament baseball but we can't guarantee all players that register will be selected to a tournament team. A tournament team player should exhibit the following qualities:

• Exemplifies good sportsmanship and team spirit whether winning or losing.
• Demonstrates the ability to execute the fundamental skills of the game.
• Demonstrates commitment to practice & games throughout the entire tournament period

Teams will play in the 12U and 10U divisions. All tournaments will be a 4 game minimum. The first week of  tournament play is “pool play”. 3 games will be played, teams will be "re-seeded" after 3 games going into the second round of the tournament, the schedule is usually distributed 2-3 days before the start of the tournament. The second week of games are single elimination, teams play until they lose, they could play 1 game or up to 3 during the second week of play. All tournaments 3 divisions of play, A, B, or C.  Division will be determined by the Team Managers of respective teams and subject to board approval or disapproval.

Union Endicott |  June 23-July 7 (Subject to change, UE has not released official dates yet)

Owego Tournament | July 8- July 22 (Subject to change, Owego has not released official dates yet)

Vestal (10U only) | July 19-30 (Subject to change, Vestal has not released official dates yet)

Chenango Forks (10U only) l July 21-27

All interested players must submit this Tournament Team Commitment Form in order to be considered for a team. CV Little League will do its best to support as many tournament teams as possible and encourage all CVLL players to sign up:

1. Players will be required to be at all practices and tournaments, unless prior arrangements have been made with the head coach  or noted on this form.
2. Parents will be asked to continue to adhere to the Little League International Parent Code of Conduct.
3. Every tournament team player will have a “role” to play on the team.  Players may be asked to play different positions than they may have played during the regular season and must be willing to accept their team “role”, and work hard for the betterment of the team.
4. Most tournaments are held within a short driving distance of the Chenango Valley community (Endwell, Owego, Endicott, Vestal).
5. Players are required to pay $30.00 each to help offset the cost of uniforms (which you keep) and tournament fees.
6. Local Tournaments recognize a player's "Little League Age", which is a player's age on August 31,2024.
